My name is Carla Pereira. I was born in Porto and grew up in a family of visual artists, in an environment where creativity was part of everyday life. From an early age, I learned to value detail, aesthetics, and the intention behind every creation. Art was my first lens through which I understood the world.
I studied at Instituto de Odivelas, where its military discipline strengthened my own discipline, autonomy, and resilience.
In 2008, I moved to João Pessoa, Brazil, where I completed my studies and developed a broader, multicultural perspective. I returned to Portugal in 2013 determined to build a solid professional path.

I began studying Accounting and later Management at the University of Algarve. That period gave me structure, analytical thinking, and strategic vision. However, I realized I needed to align logic with vocation. In 2017, I enrolled in the Cinema program at ETIC Algarve, where I found true alignment with what I was doing. In 2019, spent three months in the United States, an experience that expanded my cultural references and strengthened my professional ambition.
In 2021, I joined New Light Pictures, after previously interning with the production company, starting as an image and lighting assistant and camera operator. I quickly evolved into art direction, working on projects such as the video art exhibition “Shazaaam!”, where I collaborated on organization, developed graphic materials, conducted interviews, and produced a documentary about the event. In the documentary “Portuguese Space Odyssey,” I led the art direction and developed the scenographic component. Between 2022 and early 2025, I served as art director on 14 institutional, fictional, and advertising projects, including the promotional film “The Art of Living,” shot in Sotogrande and starring Diogo Morgado.
Between 2023 and 2024, I completed a postgraduate degree in Art, Design, and Artificial Intelligence, deepening my understanding of the intersection between creativity and technology.
In 2025, I took on the role of Communication Manager at Visualforma. Today, I combine artistic sensitivity, strategic thinking, and a strong focus on results. I work on positioning, narrative, and innovation with a clear vision: the future of communication requires technological mastery, but it will always depend on intention, clarity, and authenticity.
In October this year, I will begin my Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences at IADE, where I aim to deepen my knowledge and become a stronger communications professional.
I’m always seeking to learn more, do better, and make the most of every single minute of what I do.
Drop me a message, and let’s bring ideas to life.
I’m always excited to connect with like-minded creatives, collaborators, and visionaries. Whether you have a project in mind, need creative direction, or simply want to say hello, I’d love to hear from you.
